Connecting to the Internet
Today most people take an internet connection for granted.
There are various ways of connecting to the Internet, however today there are two main mechanisms- ADSL/Broadband and Wireless (WI-FI). Dial up is also still used but usually only when travelling.
ADSL/Broadband
This is used for connecting a home or small business computer/computer network to the Internet. It is the main form of connection used. To obtain this type of connection you will need an ISP (internet service provider).

WI-FI
This is becoming very popular and there are an ever increasing nymber of WI-FI networks coming on line offering access to mobile devices (laptops and phones) for people on the move.
