Wireless Internet gives you the ability to connect to the Internet while on the move. Wireless Internet connections use the same technology that is used in home and Business wireless networks (WI-FI).
Wireless (WI-FI) is available on almost all new laptops and PDAs, and if not present it can be added by simply inserting a USB WI-FI adaptor.
Mobile Wireless Internet
Not only is Wireless access being used for LANs (Local Are Networks) it is also being provided by the major ISPs for use when on the move. They provide wireless hotspots using the same configurations shown above, where you can connect to the Internet via your standard Wireless (WI-FI) equipped laptop or PDA.
Many Airports, Coffee shops, bookstores, Train Stations are offering internet access but you will normally have to pay. There are however a growing number so called community hotspots providing free Wireless Internet access.
There are also many homes and businesses inadvertently providing access to others through unsecured Wireless access points.
