  1. Hello Steve
I am definitely interested because I use mosquitto brokers with Raspberry Pi in Node Red and in Home Assistant

  2. I would definitely be very interested in a Node-RED programming page as I like your tutorial / video style.
I don’t use Python at the moment so that is of less interest.

  3. Hi Steve, thanks a lot for your videos. I watch them very often.

I have one question … something I can’t manage to find myself…. maybe you know:
Do you know if it’s possible to define a “dynamic Client ID” as part of the “MQTT out” node?
I watched your video’s, but here you mentioned that this one should be “unique”.
I try to use Node-RED to ‘translate’ MQTT from a device towards the MQTT format for an IoT platform. (As you know MQTT doesn’t have a standard for device- & data mgmt messages … unlike LwM2M does).
This will require to define a dynamic ‘Client ID’ as part of the “MQTT out” node… mainly because I would like to distinguish every device with a separate “Client ID”. I’m not sure if “MQTT out” can have a dynamic “Client ID”.
I have a workarounds possible by defining a “dynamic MQTT topic” which is possible in Node-RED.

    1. Hi
No it isn’t currently supported. I’m not sure if it will be in the future maybe it requires a redesign to do it.
The nodes will need to be updated for mqttv5 and maybe we will see it then.
      Rgds
      Steve
